90% Financing to qualified buyers, 5% fixed for 5 years, 15 yr amortization.

The property comprises 160 acres, bordering Watershed, Rd. at approx. 3,600 feet, and rises to 4,700 feet facing SSE. We like to think of The Haven as the passive part of an active development. The Haven is attached to the development known as Wolf Ridge, which operates the former and expanded Wolf Laurel ski slopes; two ski lodges, has just completed a large 3,400 foot private airport, and has an all season’s water-slide pool. See Scenicwolfresort.com
Our access to I26 is one of our biggest assets. While we have access with completed roads to the airport tunnel that leads directly to the upper lodge, slopes and pool of Wolf Ridge, we also have another completed road entrance at 1015 Watershed Rd. From Watershed Road it is an easy, beautiful, and almost flat, 4-mile drive down Laurel Valley Rd to I26. From our I26 exit 3 it is a short 24-mile drive South to Asheville, or about the same to Johnson City, TN.
While all the property is in Madison County, we can access Burnsville (Yancey County) by using Windy Gap to US19 in about 15 minutes. The Chamber of Commerce of Yancey County, NC lists over 100 artist studios in the county. See link on Amenities page. Prices Creek General Store is about 12 minutes, and the new Engle’s Grocery store about 17.
We currently have completed roads to 10 one-acre lots with long-range views at 4,200 feet, and other Cabin lots under the canopy trees with a mountain stream.
Since our property is all Southern facing, we hope home-sites will be low impact, possibly solar passive, in a green type development. We like the idea of having electric carts for transportation around the property and over to the ski slopes, lodge, and pool areas.
